Recent happenings here and there

I forgot to post some info about a few things I’ve been involved in over the past couple of weeks, in so here’s a round-up of recent happenings:

I rewrote and lengthened my short story ‘Lowland Clearances’ for adaptation by the Infinitesimals audio drama team at Shoreline of Infinity to be performed at a recent event at Edinburgh International Science Festival. It’s a satire set in a near-future Scotland where sheep are more valuable than people. I’ll post a link to the audion recording soon.

I did some readings in Berlin and Potsdam from my short story collection ‘The Need for Better Regulation of Outer Space’ just published in German as ‘Von der Notwendigkeit, den Weltraum zu ordnen’ by CulturBooks

I wrote a story about fruit flies, lab scientists, death and life, for a project based at Kings College London, ‘Strange Brains, Alien Minds’. The writers Stephen Oram and Geoff Ryman were also involved in this project. Here’s a link to an event held with scientists to discuss the stories (I couldn’t be there but provided my input beforehand):
